Dark chocolate is what makes this brownie cookie so over-the-top delicious and decadent. Not only is it the chewiest and and softest cookie with that trademark crackle brownie texture, but it is ONLY 5 ingredients!

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 15-24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 box dark chocolate brownie mix (for 9″ x 13″ batch)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the brownie  mix, flour, eggs, and oil with a spoon until blended well.
  4. Add the dark chocolate chips and chopped pecans (if desired). The mixture will be thick and sticky.
  5. Using a large cookie scoop, drop by tablespoons onto the parchment paper, spacing 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake cookies 8-10 minutes. The centers appear darker, but cookie surface crackles in the brownie crust. Slide parchment paper with cookies to counter to fully cool before removing from the sheet.

Notes

  • Increase baking time by 2-3 minutes if you use stoneware baking sheets.
  • These cookies are super chewy and will break if removed from the parchment (even with stoneware sheets) before cooled completely.
  • Increase the chocolate or flavoring by adding milk chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or toffee bits!
